Why Locals Love Cerveceria Ecu
Situated in the heart of Granada’s vibrant Genil district, Cerveceria Ecu is a beloved bar and Mediterranean restaurant that perfectly marries the city’s passion for excellent beer with the rich tradition of Spanish tapas. From its inviting location on P.º del Emperador Carlos V, this lively spot has become a magnet for both locals and visitors looking to indulge in generous portions of authentic Mediterranean flavors paired with an outstanding selection of beers.
Stepping into Cerveceria Ecu, you immediately sense the warmth of a classic Granada bar where conviviality and great flavors flow freely. The atmosphere is casual and buzzing, ideal for groups or solo visitors eager to unwind and savor the local scene. What truly stands out here is the unbeatable value: as several delighted patrons have noted, a round of beers effortlessly comes with an array of complimentary tapas that are nothing short of spectacular. Imagine sinking your teeth into a huge, savory egg and meat bocadillo bursting with flavor, or exploring the unexpected, sometimes quirky tapas that build a memorable culinary experience.
The selection of beers is impressive, with taps featuring quality brews that perfectly complement the fresh, hearty Mediterranean bites. The generous servings of tapa portions mean that with just a few drinks, you are likely to be more than satisfied, if not fully satiated. This abundance is part of what makes Cerveceria Ecu a genuine gem — you can delight in a feast without stretching your budget, as one guest highlighted, enjoying five beers, two soft drinks, and “tons of free tapas” for only €26.
True to its character as a classic Granada bar tap, Cerveceria Ecu embraces its tradition with a mix of favorites, although some may note that the raciones (larger portions) don't always hit the mark on quality. However, the tapas, especially shared among friends, embody the spirit of the local culinary culture: hearty, flavorful, and made to accompany great conversation and plenty of laughter.
What leaves a lasting impression is the combination of superb beer, abundant and often surprising tapas, warm service, and a casual yet lively environment. Whether you are a beer enthusiast, a tapas lover, or simply someone wanting to experience authentic Granada nightlife, Cerveceria Ecu offers a uniquely fulfilling experience that keeps guests coming back for more.
If you’re in Granada, don’t miss out on this consummate blend of Mediterranean flavors and spirited hospitality. Your taste buds — and your wallet — will thank you.

I wish I could rate them even higher than 5/5! They have a great selection of beers, and the tapas are to die for! We were a group of 4 people and got 5 beers, 2 colas, and tons of free tapas for only €26!!!

Is a classic. One of the most popular bar taps I Granada. Yes, quality could be better but the size of the some tapas are great, not all of them. Don't ask for "raciones" because quality is not really good and with two or three tapas you are full

Best beer and most abundant tapas in Granada, hands down.

It would seem you get some kind of tapas included with every single beer you buy so be careful how much tapas you actually order or you’ll end up with too much. Incredible place, bizarre tapas thats superb, excellent beers and superb service. I’d go back but I’m still full.

Great selection of beers, served well chilled and prepared with dedication. The first tapas wasn't the best we've had but it was filling and tasty. Clean toilet but only for one person at a time. Busy. Appears very popular. We paid 2.60-3.20 for beers so not the cheapest

This is the best restaurant where I have been in Granada. There you can find a huge variety of options. It's not the most salubrious restaurant in Granada but I think is worth It. When I'am there, my taste buds are happy. Moreover, the prices are very cheap and the location outstanding, it's beside the football stadium.
